During his visit to R. Dhuvaafaru to inaugurate a futsal stadium, Minister of Sports, Fitness, and Recreation Abdulla Rafiu held discussions with the R. Dhuvaafaru Council on the current state of sports on the island and potential improvements.

The council emphasized the need for a quality volleyball court, highlighting its importance to the community. Discussions focused on possible solutions and future plans to enhance sports facilities and create better opportunities for athletes on the island.

The Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving sports infrastructure across the Maldives and assured that the Ministry will work closely with the council to assess and address the island’s sports development needs.
