The Ministry of Sports, Fitness and
Recreation and the Maldives Olympic Committee (MOC) have signed an agreement to
develop facilities to provide mandatory health services in stadiums hosting
national and international sporting events. It's a pivotal step in fulfilling
one of the key pledges under the government's "Hafthaa 14"
initiation.
The agreement was signed by tSports
Minister Abdulla Rafiu and MOC President Mohamed Abdul Sattar.
In accordance with the agreement
with MOC, the committee will shoulder a leading role in leading the Sports
Ministry's initiatives aimed at delivering mandatory health services at sports
venues.
Speaking at the event, Sports
Minister Abdulla Rafiu highlighted the support received from the MOC in
fulfilling the requirements of the roadmap prepared by the Sports Ministry
during the first 14 weeks of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's administration.
