The minister opens the registration opportunity for the "National Sports Veteran Ambassadors" directory.

The introduction of the "National Sports Veteran Ambassadors" directory is one of the key pledges of the current government's "Hafthaa 14" road map. Applications are open through the "Mees Portal" of the sports ministry. 

The evaluation of the applications and the selection of "National Sports Veteran Ambassadors" will be done by a committee. 

Speaking to the press, Minister of Sports, Fitness, and Recreation Abdulla Rafiu highlighted the importance of acknowledging the hard work of sports legends. And this "National Sports Veteran Ambassadors" directory will help the legends gain the proper recognition and appreciation they deserve. 

The ministry has published a "National Sports Veteran Ambassadors" registration guideline in the Government Gazette. In this guideline, the criteria for "National Sports Veteran Ambassadors" and the responsibilities of ambassadors are detailed.
