The Minister of Sports, Fitness, and Recreation, Abdulla Rafiu, attended the My Cup 2024 awarding ceremony, organized by Ihavandhoo Polestar Club.

A total of six islands “Ihavandhoo, Dhidhoo, Hoarafushi, Thuraakunu, Uligam, and Nolhivaram”participated in the tournament, with nine teams competing for the title.

The final match saw NVK take on Kulimagu, where NVK emerged as the champions of My Cup 2024.

The tournament highlighted the growing enthusiasm for local football and the importance of community-driven sports initiatives. The Minister commended the organizers and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting such events that foster athletic excellence and regional engagement.
