The Ministry of Sports, Fitness, and Recreation has officially handed over the construction of a futsal stadium in L. Fonadhoo to Vavel Investment Pvt. Ltd. The agreement was signed by Deputy Minister Hussain Nihad on behalf of the Ministry, while Mohamed Fazeel signed on behalf of Vavel Investment.

The project, valued at MVR 1,590,568.92, is expected to be completed within 42 days, as per the agreement. Once completed, the facility will provide enhanced training and competition opportunities for futsal players in the region.

This initiative is part of the government’s commitment to expanding sports infrastructure across the Maldives, ensuring better access to quality sports facilities for local communities.
