The Maldives National Institute of Sports (MNIS), in collaboration with the L. Fonadhoo Council and the Football Association of Maldives (FAM), has certified 23 football referees upon the successful completion of the AFC "C" License Coaching Course held in L. Fonadhoo from May 19 to 30.

The 12-day course was part of ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Sports, Fitness and Recreation to train and empower youth in the field of sports. It was conducted by experienced FAM referees Mohamed Shaazly and Ali Nishthar Mohamed.

According to MNIS, the successful implementation of the program was made possible with the support of the Fonadhoo Council.

MNIS has also conducted similar courses in Lh. Naifaru and K. Kaashidhoo, where a total of 38 participants received certification.
