Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation Abdulla Rafiu, inaugurates special program targeted to complete the sports projects in islands. 

At the official opening ceremony of the N. Maafaru Volleyball Court, Minister Rafiu announced the commencement of the sports project completion program, which is one of the key pledges of the current government's "Hafthaa 14" road map.

The program ensures completion of the current ongoing projects, and aids in identifying the sports facilities needed for a particular island.

Minister Rafiu emphasised that one of the main aims of the government is to develop the required facilities and help with sports development in the islands.

A massive amount of 232 projects are ongoing right now in various atolls, of which 64 new projects are to be started in the following weeks.
